Alpha ePay was an idea created from a vision of John Paul Bunting CTB

In 2006 after 17 years participating in the alterative currency industry, John commenced work on the Alpha Economic Model, a new and improved economic model that incorporated all the features and benefits of the WIR Economic Model, a dual currency fiat and complimentary currency model founded in Switzerland in 1934, and BXI, the complementary currency model introduced to the USA in 1960 by Mac J Mc Connell.

John's model also incorporated all the additional features of a dollar based Customer Loyalty Reward and Interest Free Finance Program ("Alpha Program") that would also assist businesses increase their cash sales and Individuals lower their living and borrowing costs.

After many years of research and study into economics, the creation of money, complementary currency systemsmarkets and the works and theories of international recognised entrepreneurs, economists and philosophers such as Adam Smith, Silvio Gessel, and Nobel Prize winners in economics Professors Milton Freeman and F.A Heyek, John envisaged an economic model that incorporated its own privately created currency system which would assist in  combating the economic challenges members of the community face from time to time such as:
√ Rising inflation
√ Rising interest rates
√ Rising production costs
√ Rising living costs
√ Rising unemployment
√ Rising bankruptcies
This currency which he called Alpha dollars would stimulate the economy by activating demand and fueling supply, without it causing a rise in inflation, assist businesses maximise their untapped potential to supply without discounting and improve individuals quality of life and not for profits financial position.

John shared his vision with friends and business associates Alan Haley a director of AandLBuilders, Rob Shadgett a payment processing platform specialist, Nicholas Radich a solicitor and Grahame Donnelly an accountant who saw the huge opportunity in the business model and came on board as the original investors.  They all agreed, "If we build it, they will come".

This vision reminded John of the movie, "Field Of Dreams" that was released in 1989.
